Never thought I'd see it

Last week we got hit with more snow...on top of the snow we had already.  By the end of it all, we had 20+ inches of snow in areas.

It hasn't snowed like this since 1968. 

Everything shut down, including roads that were impossible to drive on.  We don't have the kind of equipment those in the north have, so just a few inches of snow puts us on hold.  You can only imagine how 20+ inches affected everyone and everything.

Another interesting fact thanks to the snow, is that many times we were as cold, and sometimes colder than places in Alaska.  Living in NW Arkansas and hearing the weather man say that was quite surreal. 

Since when did we switch places with the north?

But the kids have all enjoyed it....even though come June they won't be happy.  Schools are debating on having longer school days, Saturday school and/or having school well into June.  Our schools are open today, but many around us are still closed.

Where was this snow when were little, I'd like to know.  Bailey went to school only 4 days in the last two weeks.  Snow days aren't as fun when you're the parent, lol.

LOL two funny things about this picture, one is that there is still a good three to four inches of snow under the new snow.   Two, she barely sank into the snow, she was almost elf like...haha.

We had to wait until the temp wasn't in single or negative numbers before we could enjoy the snow.  And let me tell you, by the time we got back inside, Bailey was soaked.

You wouldn't believe it by this photo but Riddick (the black one) can fit perfectly underneath Frost...with room to spare  Knowing how big of a bear this dog is, I have no idea how he made himself so small!

I'm kinda sad to see it go. It meant sleeping in and living in our pj's.
