Home front

We recieved a phone call last night from Bo's older brother.  And now we have an even better alternative for the whole house sell thing.

He's in need of a place, wants a lease to own.

We have a place we need to sell or rent.

Voila.

The whole renting this house thing has been on our minds but we've been skeptical since it would take time to find a renter.  Renting to him, makes things even easier for us.  It means we don't have to show this house.  It means we don't necessarily have to paint and fix up the kitchen unless he really wants us to and then we could wait until we move to do it which would be easier.  He also understand what would happen if he can't make the payment; he's less likely to screw us over like stranger would.  Considering he'd do anything for us and anyone else would care less if we lost everything we had.

Although this makes me go EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, we still can't buy Savannah until we sell the land.  That land frees up enough money for us to afford Savannah and not be living on hot dogs and mac&cheese for the next 10 years.  It's a silent, guarded EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

However, there are cheaper houses that we're going to look at and if by some weird chance we fall in love with one of them, and it's cheap enough, we won't have to sell the land to buy.

Selling this particular piece of land is going to be hard if not impossible because it's in this teeny weeny bump in the road of a town.  It's 5 acres at the edge of a huge ranch, great location, gorgeous views, BUT this town has little to offer and isn't much of a draw.  It could take years to sell this, and that scares me.

I have to say, things keep getting thrown at us and it's very encouraging that we're going to get out of this house and into one that works for us.  I just hope we can do it before Xmas, cause that would suck ass to be moving around that time.
