Oh the fun we had...

On Monday morning Bo and I headed out to Branson, Missouri.  In case you aren't familiar with this place it is a HUGE tourist area with lots of things to do, like the two theme parks, Silver Dollar City and White Water.  Not to mention tons of shows, anything from big stars to impersonators (musical and comedy) to comedians to magicians, all of it very entertaining.  Plus you can't forget the butt load of shopping that can be done.

We chose a hotel we stayed in years ago, when his company took everyone there for the weekend. Chateau on the Lake (I'll be posting more on this and the other places we visited later) over looks Table Rock lake and is an absolutely beautiful hotel.

Places we visited:  The Titanic Museum, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, White Water, and Ozark Medieval Fortress.

We ate way too much, stayed up way too late and slept as much as we wanted.  It was AWESOME.  We had no real plans for the trip other than, well going, LOL.  Our one and only plan was to get another old time photo, like we did the day we got married.   I'm not thrilled with this photo whatsoever; I am so not photogenic.  It was the best out of three taken, and yet it sucks.  But hey at least we have one I guess.

As you can see above, we didn't go all out crazy with activities.  We spent some time in our room watching payperview movies.  I give the new Robin Hood and Clash of the Titans a thumbs up.  Although the costumes in Clash of the Titans wasn't all that fab.  Poor Sam Worthington looked a bit silly in his outfit.  Considering he is HOT, that is hard to do.  I'm not sure what it was that I didn't like of the costumes, something was just off.  The story line is pretty sweet, and I LOVED the visual effects.  Robin Hood was an interesting take on the legend; I really liked how they told a more in depth story of the people of the time.  You get a better understanding of how poor people were and how badly they struggled.  But Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is still my favorite....even though Russel Crow was oh so tasty in this.  I recommend both movies, and we will own them once they come out.  We basically walked around the hotel grounds and did next to nothing as much as we could.

This trip to Branson was probably the best we've ever had, or at least for me it was.  He's been more times than I have, LOL.  In school, this was the only place we took class trips to, so for me it had lost it's pizazz.  I wasn't thrilled we were going again, but now I'm so happy we did.  We have plans to go again, with the kids next time...or maybe not it was so nice to now worry about anything and to do whatever we wanted ;).  You really should give this place a chance.

Oh and I do recommend NOT going on a trip when it's 102-106F outside. It was hot as Hades peeps. But luckily we went near the end of the summer season and during the week so things were cheaper plus not that many people to put up with.
